We briefly caught up with
the WBC World Champion Andre Berto here are some of his
thoughts on fighting Juan Urango.
P4P: Since this week raps up your training for this
fight, did you accomplish everything you and your camp
set out to do?
Berto: We pretty much got down all the training
needed to beat this opponent (Urango). Getting the
footwork right for cutting off the ring, coming out
boxing (or slugging), what-ever my opponent does so I
can adjust if need be.
P4P: What do we expect to see on Saturday night?
Berto: A very entertaining fight as I am ready for
anything my opponent tries to bring into the ring.

P4P: When I interviewed
Lennox Lewis prior to his fight with Klitschko, I asked, (since
his parents' were from Jamaica), If he has any adhocracies or
superstitions that he does prior to climbing into the ring?
Berto: Andre replied that the only thing that is on his mind
prior to getting ready are the steps of training that we went
over and over and over again during training camp, to stick to
my game-plan so to speak.
P4P: Anything else you would like to say?
Berto: Come out next Saturday and see one terrific
fight-don't miss it!
