Calls Proposed "$uper Fight" A Fraud
By William Trillo In what may be the harshest criticism of the speculated battle between Oscar De La Hoya vs. Manny Pacquiao Jose Sulaiman, the man who has sat atop the prestigious WBC for over 3 decades had some very candid views in a recent article posted in the Mexican news source El Esto.
When asked about the proposed fight El
Presidente said, "This would be an unequal fight both
physically and technically. The power of Pacquiao would be
nothing in that division (welterweight). This fight should
not be made; Oscar has 13 years of not giving compromise,
but if they want to sell a fraud to the public, go ahead."
Not exactly a seal approval from a man
who has seen more than his share of boxing "bu$ine$$" in his
30+ years of experience.
