NEWSFLASH!!
For the record, on July 12, 2010, 6:05 PM ET ESPN and Dan Rafael finally reported the Golden Boy suspension news.

I am glad to see ESPN step up and report this news, finally.

I find the comments made by respected New York attorney Judd Burstein, who is representing Golden Boy just a little odd though.

"This is not a situation where I will say the commission is acting irrationally by being upset," Burstein said. "There was no willful intent or false statement made. The guy [David Itskowitch] who usually handles it went on his honeymoon and the guy [Armando Gaytan] who [handled it] didn't know what the hell he was talking about. It's a completely honest mistake."

The guy David Itskowitz?

The guy Armando Gaytan?

The guy?

I realize we are not in court here but is referring to the parties as “the guy” the best legal vernacular you could come up with?

Well, props to the fat guy for posting the story…job well done!

I read that article and was suprised to see Flat Top put his stamp on that. Is thus supposed to mean that we should believe his article? GBP stinks and so does FightNews, I wish more sites had the sack to write the truth.

p.s. You want to puke? Read Fightnews white wash of the suspension. The alleged "writers" of the story only spoke to GBP and swallowed their explanation of the suspension as a "snafu." No quotes were gotten from the NY State Athletic commission, which is a very responsive commission when receiving inquiries from the media.

The reason you don't see the suspension on Yahoo sports is because Yahoo sports gets the majority of its web content from Ring. Today the top three featured stories with photos are all Ring stories. Ring has a content deal with Yahoo. Also, Yahoo sports often posts videos from HBO. You cannot post ANYTHING from HBO without their permission. So that is another reason the GBP suspension didnt make Yahoo. HBO is "partners" with GBP. As for ESPN, well Fat Dan as you calls him only reports scoops favorable to promoters who spoon fed them to him. Ever read his fight reports, especially on the big ones? He has no clue how to watch and analyze a fight. Hack. Suckup. Ass kisser. Choose your poison.
