Sometimes You Feel Like A Gut, Sometimes You Don’t
Look’s like all that ribbing of Eddie Chambers has finally done some good because ”Fast” Eddie came in at a career low of 208.3 pounds as he prepares for a huge (take term literally) test against Alexander Dimitrenko (253.5 pounds) in Germany today in a WBO Eliminator. After ballooning up to 223 pounds for his last fight against Sam Peter, Chambers was chastised more for his Son of Flubber physique than he was praised for his unanimous decision victory. And rightly so.
Chambers has always looked as though he possessed some extraordinary skills but buried under 20 pounds of mush those displays of talent were few and far between.
Hats off to Chambers for pushing away from the dinner table and showing a little self control.
Now if we can just get the other so called top American heavies to follow suit.
I can dream can’t I?
