Super Bowl Plug For Pound4Pound

Never mind the multi million dollar commercials on Sunday’s Super Bowl. Pound4Pound got some serious game time play courtesy of Al Michael’s.

 Check Out Our Plug

Well okay, it’s not really a plug but we’ll take it any way we can get it. You didn’t hear ‘em mention any Gorilla’s did ya? 800 pound or White?

 I rest my case.

Canadian Clock Watching

I gotta say that the highlight of the Herman Ngoudjo vs. Juan Urango Super Lightweight title bout was the 5 minute and 10 second tenth round. Now I got to ask, at around the 4 minute mark didn’t one official feel the need to check the time? And at 4 minutes and 30 seconds don’t you think the seasoned ref Marlon Wright would have felt things were going on too long himself? Maybe that explains why it took him 27 seconds to count to eight when Lucien Bute got dropped (read KO’d) by Librado Andrade last year.

Barrera’s Blunder

Why in the World did Marco Antonio Barrera get in the ring with a pug with little or no experience this weekend? Better yet, why did he put himself in the position to lose his shot at a fight with Aamir Khan? If Marco beats Khan you know he gets a crack at another belt.

Don’t know the answer to any of those but the fact is Marco was on the receiving end of a nasty head butt and now has a gash that may derail any and all of those plans.

Will Marco follow the long line of Mexican legends who end their careers grasping for the brass ring but coming up short and falling on their faces time and time again?

Stay tuned for that answer…we are bound to find out soon.
